Scholarship Philosophy

Contractors for a Cause believes that helping local students realize a career in and/or affiliated with the construction industry (including electrical, mechanical, architecture, engineering, etc.) through continued education and/or journeymanship, will assist them to further develop trade knowledge and skills. We hope that these skills will not only benefit the individual, but also our future community service needs. Recipients of the Legacy Scholarship that receive an accredited education in their chosen field of expertise will have CFAC’s continued commitment to assist them with career opportunities in the construction industry.

(2) Two scholarships of $3,000 each will be awarded. The purpose of these scholarships is to recognize two local high school graduating seniors planning to pursue a career in, or affiliated with, the field of construction. Indian River High School students can contact Counselor Sonya Purcell, and Sussex Technical High School students can contact Counselor Greg Hockman for more information.
