27th Annual Golf Outing

The weather was perfect and the course was in great shape for our sold-out Annual Golf event. It is a major fundraiser for CFAC to support our varied programs, including our Helping Hands home modifications and repairs, Good Neighbor outreach to local, worthy organizations and individuals, and annual Scholarships to local high school seniors.

This year’s event was one of our most successful, due to the generosity of our sponsors and supporters, including Event Sponsor -BSD/Andersen Windows & Doors; Masters Level Sponsors – Atlantic Millwork and Cabinetry, Betterliving of Delmarva, Christopher Companies, Garth Enterprises, Miken Builders, and Pella; and Putting Green Sponsors -AZEK and Creative Concepts. Our 26th Annual Golf Outing held at Cripple Creek Country Club was a great success!

CFAC programs (Helping Hands, Good Neighbor, and Legacy Scholarship Fund) as well as Justin W. Jennings Beach House were all beneficiaries of this wonderful event.

James R. Kyger, Jr. Annual Golf

Jim Kyger was one of our founding partners and we were heart broken last year when he passed. The James R. Kyger, Jr. Annual Memorial Golf Tournament is being presented by his foundation. The golf portion is SOLD OUT, but we still need putting green ($500) and hole ($175 for one or $225 for two) sponsors:

Ramp It Up for Accessibility...

CFAC’s Denim and Diamonds fundraiser event, held at Cripple Creek Country Club, was a rousing success – raising over $76,000 toward our $100,000 goal. These funds and ongoing donations will continue CFAC’s quest to purchase and provide modular metal ramps for those in our community facing accessibility challenges. The Salisbury School fundraiser

Much appreciation goes out to The Salisbury School students who created a Mismatched Shoe week in support of two of their own after the loss of their father, Jimmy Kyger. By taking inspiration from a story about Mr. Kyger (where he continued a business trip even after realizing he had packed mismatched shoes), the students ran a week long campaign to raise $2,100 to donate to CFAC, in which Jimmy Kyger co-founded.

CFAC Membership Appreciation Party

CFAC’s 2nd annual Membership appreciation party was this past March at the Bethany Boathouse, 33258 Kent Ave, Bethany Beach, DE 19930! Attendees enjoyed coming together, partying, a live DJ and food. There wasn’t an appreciation party in 2021 because of Covid-19.

2022 Golf Classic

The MD & DE CFAC Chapters joined forces in October at Ocean City Golf Club. The event benefited the Annual Legacy Scholarship, Helping Hands Project, The Justin W. Jennings Foundation, and Believe In Tomorrow Children’s Foundation. All support was greatly appreciated

Golf Tournament

It was a beautiful day at Cripple Creek Golf Course on October 4th, 2019. Many participants and volunteers came out or donated items or time for our cause so we could continue to give back to the community! The sky was blue with a slight chill in the air, but our hearts were warmed by everyone’s generosity and support! With the donations, sponsors and players, we raised the most ever in our 22 year history of our golf events. We surpassed 2018 by almost $2,000!

We had some challenge holes and fun games to play before and after. The biggest win was being able to give away a truck! Yes, Keith Hastings had a hole in one to win a truck! An avid golfer, Hastings couldn’t believe his luck. “I hit a 5-wood way further right than I wanted. Suddenly, the wind took it straight to the green, it rolled all the way up and popped right in the hole. We couldn’t believe our eyes,” Hastings said. Read the entire article HERE.
